For individuals responsible for assessing learners or employees carrying out occupational tasks in their normal working environment.
Start your qualification for £14.99 and pay as you progress.

The Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment, commonly referred to as the ACWE assessor course, is designed for people who assess occupational competence in an individual’s real work environment.
The qualification combines knowledge of the principles and practices of assessment with practical assessor competence. This means you will not only develop an understanding of how effective assessment works but will also demonstrate your ability to carry out genuine assessment activities with learners in the workplace.
You will develop skills in planning assessment, selecting appropriate assessment methods, designing and administering assessment activities, gathering and reviewing evidence, making assessment decisions, providing constructive feedback and maintaining appropriate assessment records.
The qualification is particularly relevant where assessment decisions depend on whether an individual can demonstrate the required skills and competence while carrying out genuine occupational activities.
Because this is a competence-based workplace assessment qualification, written assignments alone are not sufficient. You must successfully complete the practical requirements with 2 real learners/candidates in an appropriate work environment.
The ACWE assessor course is suitable for professionals who assess, or intend to assess, occupational competence demonstrated through real workplace activities.
