Do I have to complete Level 3 AET before Level 4 CET?

Do I have to complete AET and CET before the Level 5 Diploma in Teaching?

Can I complete teacher training courses online?

Do I need a teaching placement?
It depends on the qualification. The Level 3 AET does not normally require an ongoing teaching placement, although practical microteaching may be required. The Level 4 CET requires teaching practice, while the Level 5 DiT requires substantial professional placement and teaching practice.
What were PTLLS and CTLLS?
PTLLS is the former terminology commonly associated with today's Level 3 Award in Education and Training, while CTLLS is commonly associated with the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training. These former names remain widely searched, but SJA uses the current regulated qualification titles.
Can I apply for QTLS after completing the Level 5 Diploma in Teaching?
After successfully completing an eligible Level 5 Diploma in Teaching, you may be able to apply for Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), subject to meeting the current eligibility requirements and successfully completing the separate professional formation process.
